BEST USES Comments: We purchased the radios for our daughter to communicate with her friend who lives nearby. It gets difficult to hear about a block from her friend's home (approx. 2 miles with several buildings between). We knew this was a possibility but were surprised at how far they reached. She now uses the radio to play across the street at the park while we keep the other at home. It works really great for our family's needs! |

Comments: I use these radios on a daily basis. Only one problem have to run other users of Channels 1-7 and 15-22 because those are license channels for individuals who have an FCC License too operate a GMRS radio. |

CONS BEST USES Comments: Me and a buddy started our own 2 way radio club. We are storm watchers. We tested these MJ270R radios in all types of terrain in our area from low valleys to rolling hills to higher terrain in our location. We only managed 3/4 mile to almost one full mile of radio reception. Battery power is strong on alkaline batters around 32 hours. These radios make an excellent resource for communicating in case of power outages which would knock down cell phone communications. Be ready for all kinds of severe weather and think Motorola MJ 270R. |

Comments: Our Parish started a parking lot patrol to help curve crime in the area. Our main goal is to be seen and be a good witness if something happens. As a former police officer, communication is critical with your partner so we purchased the radios as a trial. They are holding up well, simple to use and meet our needs easily. Buy Two Way Radio's had the best price, shipped right away and now has a customer for life. Thanks! |

BEST USES Comments: I bought these for use in the building I manage. I've been using Midland radios for the past six years but wanted to try a different brand. They work fine in line of sight but as soon as we're in the building, we lose the signal. Back to Midland I guess. |
